Following the success of its VR headset, Sony says it expects 130 games to be released for PSVR by the end of 2018.
In a statement to Nikkei (initially translated by Siliconera), Sony says PSVR's 2 million sales have helped bolster confidence in the product. There are currently 150 titles available for the platform - if all 130 games arrive that would be an 86% increase.
Sony attributes the headset's success to dropping the price of the peripheral.
Sony also notes that PSVR is home to more than just games, citing a forthcoming planetarium application and the ability to watch moves in a 360-degree space; its inclusion in this news seems like a sure indicator that we can see more non-game content heading to the PSVR as well.
With over 70 million PlayStation 4 units sold, the peripheral has a long way to go before it catches up to its big brother - this kind of influx of games could be just the ticket for increasing those sales even further.
